Wil Gravatt Band

...gentlemen country musicians & honky tonk heroes who've performed for two US Presidents and a legion of fans.

They've shared the stage with Robert Earl Keen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, John Michael Montgomery, Pat Green, Cory Morrow, Hal Ketchum, Charlie Robison (just to name a few.)

Their live shows are always high-energy and you never know who'll you'll meet at one. Inauguration week 2009, the Wil Gravatt Band was invited to perform at not one, but two Inaugural Balls - The Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball and the Southern Inaugural Ball.

The tracks you're hearing now were recorded at County Q studios in Nashville with the help of Paul Koch (engineer) , Ray Kennedy (engineer), (the late great) John Hughey (steel), Kenny Ames (bass), & many other fabulous talents.



Jimbo Byram
plays the steel guitar.
A native Virginian; Jimbo began playing the steel guitar in the early 70's. After a stint in the Army, he began performing full-time. He joined the Wil Gravatt Band in 2001. He's been an integral part of the band's traditional sound ever since.






Tim Bray
plays electric guitar.
Tim is a 20-year veteran of the DC area music scene whose credits include stints with The Fabulous Sensations, Sean Michael Dargan, Sugarbeet and Crown Vic. When he's not performing, Tim is a professional guitar instructor in Fredericksburg, Va.






Gary Crockett
plays the drums and sings.
Gary spent three years with Powerhouse Records recording artist Tommy Lepson, performing on the WAMA award winning "AM 53" cd, and has performed with other Baltimore-Wash. Along with Wil Gravatt, Gary also appears with other Washington/Baltimore area artists including singer/songwriter Marge Calhoun, Catfish Hodge, Randy Thompson, and Patty Reese.





Wil Gravatt
sings and plays guitar.
Wil is a versatile singer and musician (he is also a drummer) and has been a professional musician since the age of 14 (he says his first gig was for $5 but it was a paying gig!) 
Wil has released one solo CD ("ready to cross that line - 1998   DART Records") and two live recordings. There's a new work coming soon!  





Paul Koch
is the sound engineer.
Also known as "Sound Pig" joined the band in 2005. He brings many years of experience to the band. drummer. A keen wit and a salty sense of humor are important qualities in a good sound-man.







Nick Mcalister
plays the bass and sings.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Nick Joined the band in 2001. He adds strong vocals, lead and harmony. Nick released a solo CD in 2003 called "...bout time!" It's available at CD BABY.







Steve Wolf
plays the bass.
Steve has played with all the heavyweights on the planet (Chuck Berry, Danny Gatton, Bo Diddley & more.) He's got chops on his chops....check him out.
